āWhere do I begin...Sandy was truly an answered prayer. From the beginning of my pregnancy, my husband and I prayed often for this birth, asking God to send us a provider who genuinely cared and feared the Lord. We prayed this even after already signing up with a birth center because we felt God still had someone specific in mind. Then, to our surprise, a sweet lady named Sandy joined the team. Her warm demeanor, genuine joyful smile, and attention to detail gave her the disposition of a friend, while her seriousness about patient care was unmistakable. You could tell she deeply loved people, but also didn't take the responsibility of being a midwife lightly. Her smile only leaving for a moment of intense focus when she is thoroughly reviewing your information to make sure she doesnāt miss a single thing. And Of course, I eventually brought up Jesus, and her face lit up as she shared her faith. In that moment, I knew without a shadow of a doubt that she was the one we had been praying for and why there was always an unmistakable peace that followed her when she enters a room. Because the Lord is with her. She later left the birth center, and my husband and I felt lead to search for her, we found her private practice, and switched to her for a planned home birth. That decision brought so much peace and joy!! We knew the Lord wanted us to still work with her. Having her provide care in my home was amazing. She was thorough, punctual, responsive, and somehow made blood draws quick and painless! She made sure we were fully prepared for our home birth and always took time to answer questions and address concerns. Around 37 to 38 weeks, however, my blood pressure began creeping up. Sandy noticed the trend early. Even before it reached levels that would risk me out of a home birth, she started checking on me even more than she had too, stopping by often to monitor my blood pressure manually, assess for swelling, and encouraging me to continue supporting my health through nutrition, hydration, and supplements. When my blood pressure continued trending upward, she knew this was an early sign of a more serious concern, and she made the difficult but necessary call that an induction was the safest option. She carefully reviewed with me the signs and risks of gestational hypertension and preeclampsia and why going to triage for possible induction was safest. She knew how badly I wanted a home birth, and she wanted that for me too. Because of that, I trusted her completely when she said it was time to pivot. Looking back, she was absolutely right. It was the best call, believe me! However I must say I was genuinely heartbroken at the hospital, crying actual tears because I wanted Sandy to deliver my baby. Thatās how much I had grown to love this midwife! But I knew God had used her to catch what could have been a serious outcome. And guess who still showed up and stayed by my side through my almost 60+ hour induction/ labor? Sandy. Aside from briefly leaving to deliver another baby while I was in early labor, she remained in close contact with my husband and doula. Then from active labor onward, she was with us constantly, right at the bedside helping us navigate difficult decisions that ultimately helped prevent a C-section. She was like a doula, a friend, and a source of expert medical counsel all in one. She prayed with us multiple times, advocated for us, communicated with providers when asked, and made sure she understood every aspect of my care so she could provide the best postpartum support possible. After I experienced tearing, she even spoke with the OB and closely monitored the details of my repair so she knew what type of tears I had in great detail down to the types of stitches that were used so that she could give me the best care afterward. And she did. After discharge, she checked on me numerous times, monitoring my blood pressure, bleeding, swelling, and overall recovery. She treats postpartum with the same gravity as pregnancy and birth, and I am confident she would catch serious postpartum complications earlier than most providers. There is so much more I could say. Even this lengthy review doesn't fully capture the blessing Sandy has been over these past several months. If you want a midwife who will go above and beyond, she is the one. She treats birth work like a ministry, caring for mothers and babies as precious gifts entrusted to her by God, and you can see that in everything she does. You truly couldn't be in better hands. Whether you birth at home, opt for a hospital birth or need one she will be there. Even if my next birth had to be in a hospital, I would still plan to work with Sandy without a doubt ā¤ļøā

āSandy is an amazing midwife. I delivered my second child with her, first home birth, and she was an amazing support and friend throughout the whole process. From the first time we met, she has always made me feel so comfortable and loved. Iāve always felt so confident in her knowledge of birth work and the womanās body during pregnancy. She answered so many of my questions throughout the pregnancy that led to a confident home birth. As I pushed my baby out, her cord ruptured and Sandy was so collected and direct about what needed to happen in order to ensure babyās safety as well as my own. She was quick on her toes when I was missing needed supplies from my birth kit and she managed to comfort me through the process. Since the beginning of my postpartum, Sandy always has and I know will continue to be a support to me and my family even 1.5 years after working with her. She is a forever friend and I could only hope to have her deliver the rest of my babies.ā

āI truly couldn't even begin to put into words how incredible my experience with Sandy was throughout my pregnancy and the birth of my first baby. There are so many decisions and emotions that you face during this journey and I couldn't have had a better woman walk by my side and help me feel confident every step of the way. It's such an intimate moment to share with someone who was once a stranger but now feels like apart of my little family. You can really tell she was made for this. I couldn't recommend her enough!ā

āI cannot recommend Sandy enough. She was with me for my entire pregnancy for both of my girls and was the one that helped deliver my first at home. We had to transfer to the hospital with my second due to baby girl having some heart rate fluctuations that would be better monitored in the hospital. Sandy came with me and that gave me so much peace of mind knowing she knew how I wanted my birth to go, whether that was at home or in the hospital. She helped me deal with all the emotions that came with the transfer, and assured me we had exhausted every possible option, and it was truly in me and babyās best interest to transfer. She has become such a dear friend and is truly an angel on earth. She is a calm and steady presence during birth but can in the same way bring joy and laughter. We love her so!

āSandy took care of us for the pregnancy and birth of our fourth child. She is absolutely incredible at what she does. She is gifted and intuitive about what both mom and baby need. I have been a nurse for twelve years and delivered my babies all in different places. This birth was hands down the best we have ever had. Sandy is calm, kind and treats you like her family. 1000% recommend her and her services.ā

āSandy is absolutely amazing! We developed a very good relationship during my pregnancy and while she was not the midwife on call the night I went into labor, she didnāt hesitate to be by our side! As a first time mom having to have an emergency C-section, Sandy showed up at the hospital and comforted my husband while we were in surgery, and was there to help us and answer a lot of questions we had the next few days after birth. Although she had prior obligations after our son was born, she still came to the hospital in her spare time during our stay. I cannot thank her enough for everything she has done and I cannot wait to have her by my side again with our next pregnancy, Lord willing!ā

āAfter an early miscarriage with our first pregnancy, my heart was full of anxieties while carrying my son. Sandy held our hands and prayed over us as well as giving us helpful, confident and competent advice that empowered us to take care of me and the growing baby throughout his gestation. I was so thankful she was on call the night my son was delivered. She joined in with our worship and prayer as we sought God's help to bring this baby safely earthside, encouraging me spiritually, emotionally, all the while helping with physical pain relief, repositioning, and other physical methods to help me achieve a very peaceful water birth and blissful golden hour of bonding with our new baby. She stayed beside us for hours, encouraging me through latching him for the first time and making sure we got my blood pressure back up and getting me some rest before sending us home as a family! After a few sleepless nights and some first time breastfeeding struggles and tears, I was so thankful to see Sandy and hear her reassure us that our son was getting what he needed and he was healthy! She was such a beautiful encouragement, wealth of wisdom, and a huge part of what made me excited rather than anxious for our next pregnancy and birth. Sandy is such a gift to mamas and their babies, and it is evident she is in the vocation God has built her for!ā

āSandy hands down made my birth experience everything I wanted it to be and more. She was so caring and thorough through all of my prenatal appointments. She gave me uplifting words of encouragement towards the end as I impatiently awaited my baby six days past my due date. Very little detail was personal and as someone who has also had a regular hospital birth, I would never go back to just being a number. She made me feel comfortable, heard, and take control of my body and my experience. She made everything calm and can read a room in an instant. She knew when to joke, and when to get serious and support me with words of encouragement and empowerment. Sandy WAS the birth experience of my dreams. She made everything I wanted happen and more. I am forever grateful for her, and I would have 1,000 more babies under her watch to experience the love and joy she gives doing what she loves. I will recommend her to anyone I meet, forever.ā

āSandy has the kindest soul. She truly cares about you and makes you feel safe and comfortable at all times. She saw me for a few of my prenatal visits and made sure to always check in on me on a personal and professional level. I went through a tough period during my pregnancy and she was so caring and supportive during this time and beyond. She cared about me as a person, not only as one of her patients. I love her and highly recommend her. I would 100% trust her to deliver my next child. Thank you Sandy for being a light in my life and during my pregnancy and postpartum journey.ā

āI had the privilege of receiving prenatal midwifery care from Sandy during my third pregnancy, and I can confidently say she is an exceptional midwife. Saying she truly cares about her moms is an understatementāSandy is incredibly thorough, attentive, and genuinely listens to your needs. As someone who is more reserved and sometimes struggles to speak up, I felt completely supported with Sandy. She intuitively recognized my desire to approach pregnancy and birth as naturally as possible. When it came to additional testing, she respected my preferences without me needing to explain or defend them, which meant so much. Sandy excels at helping you make informed decisions without pressure. If you're looking for a midwife who will go above and beyond, treat you like family, and empower you throughout your journey, Sandy is the one. I'm so grateful for her care.ā

āSandy is truly the best! We had the privilege of having her as a key part of our care team, and I couldnāt be more grateful to have worked with her. During the prenatal period, she provided excellent education and reassurance, patiently answering every question and concern I had as a first-time mom. Her genuine, comforting nature and sense of humor always put me at ease and made me look forward to my next appointment.
Although I experienced a complications during my labor and delivery, Sandy was truly an angel throughout it all. She remained a steady, calming presence and made sure I was supported every step of the way. While the delivery didnāt go as smoothly as I had hoped, Sandyās care and advocacy transformed what could have been a traumatic birth experience into one that was positive, empowering, andāmost importantlyāsafe for both me and my baby.
Sandy is not only an exceptional midwife but someone I now consider a dear friend. It is clear that birth work is not just a job for her, but a true calling and God-given gift. She consistently goes above and beyond for those who trust her with their care, and I couldnāt recommend her more highly.
Thank you for everything, Sandy.ā
